Founder of The Community Thali, Navya Sabharwal is a dynamic student at the Step by Step School in Noida where she studies subjects like Economics, Psychology, and Math AI; all of which being disciplines that have shaped her interest in understanding how systemic inequalities influence our everyday lives. As a high-ranking member of her school’s Seva Society, Navya has led initiatives that support neurodivergent individuals and also regularly volunteers with the Ruhi Foundation to share music education with younger students. A trained pianist and vocalist herself, she believes that creativity, critical-thinking and conscious empathy can and should coexist in solving social problems. Her deepening curiosity about factors like access, affordability and empowerment; alongside her genuine love for cooking is what led her to develop a project that looks beyond charity and focuses on enabling choice, literacy and dignity amongst others. The Community Thali is thus Navya’s way of bringing her passion for economics and community engagement to the table.
